Salarium derives its name from the Latin word for “salary,” “soldier,” and “salt,”’ which all have the same root word: "Sala."
In ancient Rome, soldiers were paid their salaries in salt, which at that time was valued more than gold.

2014
Singapore Company incorporated Salarium Payments Corporation Philippines.


2015
200 Companies using the platform SALPay App is launched, SALPay App is released for Android and iOS
Salarium wins Seedstars World competition in Switzerland. Beating 2,000 startups for the top spots.
2016
Salarium Insurance & Salarium Payments Inc.
Salarium receives authorization from the Central Bank of the Philippines to begin running SALPay.


2017
Milestone of 500 Companies using Salarium Payroll achieved
SALPay V2 released, introducing more comprehensive and useful features such as loan facility and fund transfer services
2018
Judah Hirsh, CEO of Salarium, named one of the Innovative Fintech Founders in the Philippines
Salarium hits the 100 mark in terms of employee count in December 2018, including senior positions to head the product, marketing, fintech, and sales operations teams


2019
Salarium opens an office in Cebu to meet increasing demand for payroll software
Salarium v3.0 and SALPay v3.0 are released, introducing microservices architecture, completely redesigned interfaces, and new features
